Ever consider you don't ever want to do or try something that other people write on their lists to do?

I'm all for new experiences, but some of my "don't care to ever discover for myself" list:

Join the Polar bear club

Climb Mt. Everest (Most anything to do with deadly nature.)

Go into outer space

Go into a sub into the deep ocean

Learning to spit fire

Most of these would be very extraordinary experiences, but would be very much not inclined to do. I'll wait for the movie/book. ;)

Sometimes the easiest way to figure out what I want to do, is to cross off what I don't want to do first.

Hold a scorpion. Look at a scorpion. Be near a scorpion.  Somebody else can have that experience for me.

Although use a blow torch on a scorpion might be ok.

I moved from New Mexico years ago for this very reason. ;)

I'm good not swimming with sharks. Or hiking....anything. Or eating a ghost pepper.

Hmmm....

Hold a tarantula, go skydiving, swim with sharks, run with the bulls, hike a volcano, ride in a helicopter, bungee jump. And those are just off the top of my head. I have a lot of phobias, lol!

When I lived in Texas we would find scorpions in the house all them time, so we would catch them in a jar and then spray them with RAID or hairspray and they go crazy and sting themselves to death!  As kids we thought this was great entertainment.....as an adult I think we were a little twisted...

Hmmm I have no desire to go rv'ing across the country. Swimming with sharks is a no for me. Climbing a mountain or anything for that matter is a no as well.

I see nothing wrong with this.  I live in north Texas now so they're not bad around here, but I worked at an outdoor camp on Lake Travis for almost 10 summers and they were all over the place there. Bed checks every night before getting in after I found one there.  One guy put on a pair of pants from the skit closet that had one living in them and got stung badly in several places.  Even in the office one day I looked down and one was crawling up my leg. I haven't been stung before, so it might not be as bad as my head imagines it. But I have no desire to find out. So bring on the raid and hairspray and whatever it takes.

Those pictures of folks climbing vertical cliffs or hanging out against climbing gear with gorgeous view behind them.

NO THANKS

Drive, fly or helicopter me to the top let me stand 10 ft back from the edge but please God don't ever put me on the side of a cliff hundreds or even less than that off the ground

What I never desire to do:

-is to hold or be near a frog or toad in any capacity (its a phobia)

-never do anything scary like visit a cemetery at night, or a haunted house, or do anything remotely para-normal

-I don't want to go on some ship across a vast ocean because we all know people starve, ships sink, or worse, people get eaten by the kraken!

-never go anywhere too cold like up in the mountain or some isolated cabin, I will either be killed by an axe murder or lose a limb from frostbite

I am sure there is more, but I just cant think of anything else at the moment...

Honestly, the only thing I never want to do, is to not discover new things. I basically want to try everything I possibly can while I can, even if it's just to say that I tried. So, my unbucket list is refusing to try new things

Um, I think perhaps I'm not quite sane, because some of those things sound really interesting to me, others I've done and some I hadn't even thought of.

My in-bucket list would have to include eating bugs. That just makes my skin crawl when people talk about that.
